An anal fissure, fissure in Ano or rectal fissure is a break or tear within the pores and skin of the anal canal. Anal fissures could also be seen by vibrant crimson anal bleeding on rest room paper and undergarments, or typically in the bathroom. If acute they’re painful after defecation, however with persistent fissures, ache depth is usually much less. Anal fissures often lengthen from the anal opening and are often positioned posteriorly within the midline, most likely due to the comparatively unsupported nature and poor perfusion of the anal wall in that location. Fissure depth could also be superficial or typically right down to the underlying sphincter muscle. Untreated fissures develop a hood like pores and skin tag (sentinel piles) which cowl the fissure and trigger discomfort, ache.
